Five restaurants for a 5 star hotel in Sardinia: the gourmet holiday you weren’t expecting

At the Hotel Marinedda you will find 5 different restaurants, each with its own personality and character and able to give you a unique culinary experience every evening. It goes without saying that a holiday in Sardinia at a 5 star beachfront hotel includes typical Mediterranean tastes and flavours and excellent regional cuisine, together with a glass of fine wine from the best Sardinian wine-making tradition.

Gluten-free cuisine

Bearing in mind the need of some of our guests to enjoy a holiday in Sardinia in a 5 star hotel and have a gluten-free diet, every day the restaurants at the Hotel Marinedda offer delicious gluten-free dishes carefully prepared by our Chefs. You can rest assured that our kitchen and restaurant staff receive annual training and updating on the correct and professional way to serve guests who are gluten-intolerant.

To complete your holiday you can choose

Half board: room, breakfast and dinner (excluding drinks)

Breakfast: 7.30 – 10.30

Your days by the sea start with a generous buffet-style breakfast served on the panoramic terraces around the swimming pool with a splendid view across the sea and Isola Rossa.

Lunch: 12.30 - 14.00

The Delphina Mediterranean Brunch® is a light buffet offering all the pleasures of good food with an eye on healthy eating. There are the Chef’s hot and cold first courses based on grains, pulses and vegetables; a wide choice of salads, fruit and cheeses from the island.
The typical main meat and fish courses are not included, neither are desserts.


The Brunch Mediterraneo® (by agreement on the spot), may be substituted with the “Packet Lunch”, or if bought for the whole stay, with the “Brunch Around” in one of the following 4/5 star Delphina Group hotels: Resort & SPA Le Dune (Badesi); Park Hotel & SPA Cala di Lepre (Palau); Resort Cala di Falco (Cannigione), Resort Valle dell’Erica Thalasso & SPA 5 star (Santa Teresa Gallura). Transfers and drinks not included, booking obligatory at the hotel.

Dinner: 19.30 – 21.30 with buffet; 20.00 - 22.00 with waiter service.

The Hotel’s main restaurant is the “Petra Ruja” which is set on two levels and has a splendid view over the bay. It offers an excellent buffet with both Mediterranean and local cuisine. If however you are looking for attentive waiter service and a more elegant and romantic atmosphere, there are the “Punta Canneddi” and “Tramonto” restaurants, although the latter is reserved for guests over 6 years of age while for a more informal evening, there is the Pizzeria Basiriccò with its delicious pizzas cooked in its wood-fired oven.

Guests who choose the half board option can replace dinner with the Mediterranean Brunch®.

Guests can use the bar located in the reception area as well as the poolside bar (payment required), which offers live music in the evenings.

5 Restaurants, 5 ways of discovering the tastes and flavours of the Island

The Cascata restaurant

A dining room and pool-side terrace reserved for breakfast with buffet service and a generous selection of sweet and savoury dishes for continental and international breakfasts. There is also an expert Show Cooking service with the Chef’s hot and cold specialities.

The Petra Ruja restaurant

A stylish and classy buffet service with Show Cooking. There is a wide range of delicious and varied examples of Mediterranean and local dishes while at the same time not ignoring international cuisine.

The Punta Canneddi restaurant

Attentive waiter service with reservation required and no extra charge. A daily menu features a choice between 2 hors d’oeuvres, 3 first courses, 3 second courses and desserts. The Carte menu is also available with specialities from the lobster and crayfish aquarium (any extras to be paid for).

The Tramonto restaurant

An open-air terrace with a splendid view over the La Marinedda bay featuring waiter service with booking required and extra charge made, and reserved for guests over the age of 6. There is a guided tasting menu with Mediterranean and local dishes skilfully revisited by our chefs as well as the option of choosing from the Carte with specialities from the lobster and crayfish aquarium (any extras to be paid for).

The Pizzeria Basarico’

For an informal yet still delicious evening, there are delicate wonderful-smelling pizzas cooked in a wood-fired oven in the traditional local way, as well as a rich and varied buffet of hors d’oeuvres and ice-creams that will delight both young and old. No extra charge.

The Horizonte Snack-bar

Our poolside Snack bar, close to the beach at La Marinedda, perfect for a tasty fresh snack at lunchtime, so you can continue the relaxing afternoon between the pool and the beach (to be paid for).
