The beach at La Marinedda elected one of the ten “sand and water paradises in Sardinia”

Taken from Bell ‘Italia which included it in the 2014 Top Ten Beaches in Sardinia, with the comment “at least once in your life you have to swim here”.

Maybe it’s because of the shallow waters that make it the perfect destination for families with children, or maybe because of the red coloured granite that creates such breathtaking sunsets, or maybe it’s because surfers from all over Europe have nominated it one of the most exciting spots in Northern Sardinia and the Mediterranean. It is no coincidence that Marinedda at Isola Rossa, on the north-west coast of Gallura features as one of the ten most beautiful and fascinating beaches in Sardinia, where nature’s authenticity is perennially enchanting.

Indeed, the coastline and bay are dotted with small coves waiting to be discovered, with the scents and bright colours of juniper, myrtle, lentisk or helichrysum, the most well-known of all the plants whose perfume fills the air of Sardinia. The final touch, like a painting, is another gift of nature, the promontory of Punta Li Canneddi which slopes elegantly down towards the sea and frames the bay. Just perfect.
